The Plant-Focused Dietitian
Kat is a Registered Dietitian (RD) that specializes in plant-based nutrition. She is the founder of Nutrition By Kat, a social media health and wellness brand that provides plant-based, easy and practical recipes for all. Kat is a proponent of getting back in the kitchen and utilizing whole, real food to combat chronic disease. Focused on culinary medicine during her Nutrition Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she developed their first-ever, whole food plant-based cookbook. Her goal is to showcase the power of nourishing, plant-based food.
Working in hospitals in NYC, Kat has witnessed first-hand the impact nutrition has on disease. She firmly believes in the therapeutic qualities of food. Kat is passionate about emphasizing mostly plants in the diet, but without restricting the things we love. To put it simply, Kat is a believer in leading a life of moderation and achieving physical and mental health through nutrition. When she isn't working with her clients, you can find Kat in the kitchen developing new recipes or dancing to some country music (yeehaw!).
